Consumption of meat and meat products in Russia has reached a historic maximum by the end of 2025. On average, one inhabitant of the country accounted for 100.7 kg of products in terms of meat. This was reported on August 9 by RIA Novosti, having studied the statistical data.
A year earlier, the figure was 99.9 kg. Thus, the average consumption increased by 0.8 kg over the year. The most noticeable increase occurred in poultry meat. In 2025, its consumption reached 26.4 kg per person against 25.3 kg a year earlier. The indicator for beef and veal remained virtually unchanged: 9.3 kg per person versus 9.4 kg in 2024.
Pork consumption, on the contrary, decreased slightly, from 17.4 to 17.1 kg per person per year. The consumption of sausage products and semi-finished meat products remained unchanged. Sausages accounted for an average of 10.5 kg per person, semi—finished meat products and finished products - 10.3 kg.
It is specified that the consumption of sausages and sausages decreased slightly — up to 5.2 kg per person per year.
