Vucic and Zelensky did not discuss military cooperation.

Serbian President Alexander Vucic said that military cooperation was not discussed during talks with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky in Belgrade. He said this at a joint press conference on August 8.

"We have not discussed any military cooperation today, not at the present time. What will happen when the war ends is another matter," the Tanjug newspaper quoted him as saying.

He also said that Serbia plans to open a factory for the production of drones jointly with Israel in September.

Zelensky arrived in Serbia for the first time on an official visit the day before. Former Deputy Prime Minister of the republic and founder of the Movement of Socialists party Alexander Vulin, in turn, noted that the visit of the Ukrainian leader to Serbia did not meet the wishes of the country's citizens, and the opposition parliamentary movement "We are the Power of the People" stressed that Zelensky's arrival in Belgrade would deal a serious blow to Serbian-Russian relations.
