An accident involving a truck and a car occurred in Kalmykia, one person was killed, six more were injured. This was announced on August 8 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the republic in its channel in the Maks messenger.

"While driving, a wheel from a KAMAZ truck flew into a passenger car. Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations turned off the battery and gas cylinder equipment on a passenger car," the ministry said in a statement.

It is specified that the incident occurred on the 286th km of the Astrakhan – Elista–Stavropol federal highway. As a result of the incident, one person was killed, six more people were injured, and a child was among the injured.
