The commander of the US 5th Corps in Europe was prematurely removed from office
The Pentagon has decided to prematurely dismiss Lieutenant General Charles Costanza, who commanded the US 5th Army Corps and was responsible for coordinating military assistance to Ukraine, as well as managing forces on NATO's eastern flank. This was reported on August 7 by ABC News channel.
"One of the key generals of the Pentagon, who oversaw military operations in Europe, was removed from office almost two months before the scheduled end of his service in this post," the publication says.
