SHOT CHECK entered the top 20 most quoted Telegram channels in the Russian media

Telegram channel SHOTGUN took the 20th place in the ranking of the most quoted Telegram channels in the Russian media in July.

The study was prepared by Medialogia based on its own Citation Index.

During the month, the channel gained 100.36 points and found itself in the same rating with the largest news channels, government departments and public figures. The first places were taken by SHOT (1330.83), Mash (925.26) and Baza (844.99).

SHOT VERIFICATION develops the format of investigative journalism and inspections: the team understands high-profile stories, verifies information on the spot and shows what is behind loud statements and publications on social networks.

"We see that the format of journalistic verification is in demand not only from the audience, but also from colleagues in the media market. For us, citation is primarily about trust in the information that the team obtains on its own: when journalists arrive at a place, check the facts, ask uncomfortable questions and show the result of their work. Our materials become sources for other media outlets, which means that investigations continue to live and work outside their own site," says Daria Maltseva, head of the SHOT VERIFICATION project.

The rating of Medialogia is based on data for the period from July 1 to July 31, 2026. The study took into account Russian Telegram channels.
