A court in St. Petersburg arrested the wife of journalist Lydia Nevzorov in absentia.

The wife of journalist Alexander Nevzorov (included in the register of foreign agents) Lydia (both are included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists as an association) was arrested in absentia by the Primorsky Court of St. Petersburg. This was announced on August 7 by the head of the joint press service of the city courts, Daria Lebedeva.

"Lidia Alekseevna has been charged in absentia," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

It is noted that the defendant is charged under Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Financing extremist activities"), the court detained her for two months.

A criminal case against the couple was initiated on May 21. It was noted that the couple posted links on their social media pages to raise funds, which were then used to prepare and commit extremist crimes.
