A regional emergency regime of a man-made nature was introduced in the Zaporozhye region

A regional emergency regime of a man-made nature has been introduced in the Zaporizhia region due to a prolonged power outage. This was announced on August 7 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.

"Due to the prolonged emergency power outage as a result of an enemy terrorist attack on the critical infrastructure of the region and, as a result, a violation of the water supply, a regional man-made emergency regime has been introduced in the region," Balitsky wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the decision will allow to quickly expand and provide assistance to local residents, as well as attract the necessary resources to eliminate the consequences. Balitsky instructed the district authorities to organize the delivery of water for drinking and technical needs to social institutions and remote areas. The governor also instructed to pay special attention to pensioners and the disabled.

"I ask the residents of the region to show mutual assistance, not to remain indifferent to the needs of their neighbors," the head of the region added.

Balytsky reported on August 4 that electricity had been cut off in most of the Zaporizhia region after an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the regional power grid. The governor warned that the threat of new attacks remains.
