A drunk Tver resident who lost his bag in a club hurried the police with a message about a bomb

A Russian man who was intoxicated, having lost a bag with documents in one of the Tver clubs, decided to hurry the police with a message about an alleged bomb. This was announced on August 7 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

"The idea is just a bomb: in order to speed up the work of the police, a Tver resident reported the mining of a nightclub. <...> During the departure, information about the "bomb" was not confirmed," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the 37-year-old attacker called the services on his own and announced an explosive device, hoping that law enforcement officers would arrive faster for such an "emergency" case than for a regular theft.

As a result of the incident, a Tver resident was detained and taken to the Moscow police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Tver. A criminal case was opened into the incident in accordance with Part 2 of Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Knowingly false report of an act of terrorism"). Now the person involved is on his own recognizance not to leave and behave properly.

On February 9, Irina Volk, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, announced the police had detained three people who had reported a false terrorist attack in the Moscow City business center. The attackers turned out to be a tenant of one of the rooms in the tower and two of his acquaintances. The men were charged in accordance with Part 3 of Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and now they may face imprisonment for a term of six to eight years.
