Razina spoke about the Americans' sympathy for the estranged Russians

Russian pole vaulter Arina Razina, who studies at the University of Nebraska in the United States, said on August 7 that American athletes empathize with Russians because of the prolonged non-admission of athletes from Russia to international competitions.

"They feel very sad, they empathize with us. And others are asking if I will be performing in Europe. And when they hear "no," they feel sorry for me. Many of my pole vaulters know their Russian colleagues, and they consider our Timur Morgunov's jump to be ideal and want to learn how to jump just like him," Razina told TASS.

According to the athlete, she has never had any problems because of her Russian citizenship. The university loves foreign athletes, half of the team consists of representatives from Sweden, Germany, Estonia and other countries, and the atmosphere is friendly.

Razina is studying for a degree in sport media, and plans to pursue video journalism. She has a year and a half left before completing her bachelor's degree, and she is considering continuing her studies at the graduate school, but her sports career in the United States will end next year.
