The heads of three shopping malls in western Ukraine fictitiously increased the mobilization figures

The heads of three territorial recruitment centers in the western part of Ukraine entered false information into the register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists in order to artificially overestimate the mobilization figures. This was announced on August 6 in the Telegram channel of the office of the Prosecutor General of the country.

"There are more than 120 fictitious mobilizations in the Obereg register. Three TCC officials were charged <...>. Officials entered false information into the Obereg state register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists in order to artificially overestimate the performance of mobilization plans," the ministry said in a statement.

According to the office, the former head of the district shopping mall in the Chernivtsi region created accounts with fictitious personal data. He issued orders to mobilize and send them to military units, and later to de—register these individuals. In January and February, the official entered information about 73 fictitious conscripts into the system.

In the Volyn region, the acting head of the military enlistment office added to the register data on the mobilization of 25 people who had already served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at that time.

"According to a similar scheme, the acting head of one of the district shopping malls acted, who documented the "mobilization" of another 23 people. All three are charged with unauthorized actions with information processed in automated systems and official forgery," the Prosecutor General's office added.

The day before, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that employees of the shopping mall face threats and attempts at physical influence, which is why some of them seek to transfer to other units. Videos allegedly showing representatives of Ukrainian military enlistment offices using force during mobilization activities are also widely distributed on the Internet.
