Doctor convicted of rape returned to receiving patients in Izhevsk

Otorhinolaryngologist Konstantin Korolev, who was sentenced to probation for raping a patient in 2018, returned to work with adults and children at a private medical center in Izhevsk. This was announced on August 6 by a source of Izvestia.

The interviewee, who contacted the clinic as a client, noted that there are open appointment slots in Korolev's schedule. In turn, the administrator of the medical center described him as a good specialist. The doctor himself and the management of the institution refused to comment on the situation in a conversation with Izvestia.

According to the case file, in 2018, a drunken Korolev abused a patient after surgery in the resident's room of the city hospital, he admitted his guilt. The man was sentenced to 3.5 years of probation.

On July 1, law enforcement authorities detained a tractor driver from the village of Gatka in the Khabarovsk Territory, who is suspected of committing a series of kidnappings and rapes that began in 2005. According to the information, the defendant, who worked as a trucker, abducted girls in different regions of the country, using weapons for threats.
