Russian designers have submitted 1,047 applications for participation in the Moscow Fashion Week

1,047 applications have been submitted for participation in the seventh Moscow Fashion Week. About half of them (494) were sent by designers whose collections were not presented in previous seasons of the project, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"The new season attracted industry representatives from 63 regions of Russia. Most of the applications were received from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Krasnoyarsk," Natalia Sergunina said.

For the first time, applications were sent by designers from such cities as Alushta, Veliky Ustyug, Iskitim and Abakan.

The final list of participants will be announced by the expert council, which includes the editors-in-chief of specialized publications, stylists, purchasers, and heads of large retail sites.

Both domestic and foreign brands will present their collections during the event. Lectures by leading experts and the World Fashion Shorts short film festival are also planned. Everyone will be able to purchase clothes, shoes and accessories at the fashion market.

The seventh Fashion Week will be held at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall from September 26 to October 1. The organizer is the Fashion Foundation with the support of the Moscow government.
