Rosaviatsia classified the crash of the Cessna 182 aircraft in the Angara region as an accident

The Federal Air Transport Agency has classified the Cessna 182 aircraft accident in the Irkutsk region as an accident. This was reported on August 6 in the department.

"Rosaviatsia has classified the aviation event involving the Cessna 182 aircraft as an accident," the Maks messenger says.

It is specified that the pilot and the observer pilot were taken to Bodaibo airport and handed over to the doctors for examination. The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), with the participation of the East Siberian Interregional Territorial Administration of the Federal Air Transport Agency, will investigate the causes of the accident.

The ministry noted that the main purpose of the investigation is to establish the causes of the accident and develop measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The disappearance of the plane with two people on board became known on August 3. The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case into violations of the rules of traffic safety and operation of air transport. At the same time, on August 5, the missing pilots got in touch.

On August 6, Irkutsk Region Governor Igor Kobzev added that the pilot and the observer pilot had been evacuated. He noted that both pilots were able to reach the hill, climb it, assemble the radio station on their own and transmit the signal to the passing aircraft.
