The Court of Cassation upheld the decision to seize the Shtengelovs' property.

The Second Court of Cassation of General Jurisdiction upheld the decision to recognize Denis and Nikolai Shtengelov, owners of the Kiriyoshki and Yashkino brands, as an extremist association and to seize their property for state revenue. This was reported to Izvestia on August 5 in the press service of the instance.

The total value of Denis Shtengelov's assets, according to the prosecutor's office, amounted to 497 billion rubles. Of these, an amount of 21 billion rubles was withdrawn abroad, these funds were used to support the economies of the United States and Australia, which supplied weapons to Ukraine.

The Prosecutor's office insisted that the proceeds from the sale of products were used to finance the Ukrainian armed forces. Denis Shtengelov's lawyer also stated that his client did not finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and had never made hostile statements against Russia.

The billionaire who owns the Yashkino and Kirieshki brands is being stripped of his property in Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

Bailiffs began seizing the Shtengelovs' property on September 6 last year. At the same time, it was noted in August that the Shtengelovs had withdrawn more than 21 billion rubles abroad since 2022. In October of the same year, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office and seized the property of Denis Shtengelov and the Confectionery company for state revenue.
