The strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on Ukrainian dry cargo ships in the Black Sea have significantly reduced the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to transport weapons and military equipment. This was announced on August 5 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that the Russian military hit three dry cargo ships that were used to transport goods in the interests of the Ukrainian army in the Black Sea. According to the Defense Ministry, in the evening of August 4 and in the morning hours of August 5, crews of Geran-4 Seeker jet drones attacked ships in the Black Sea operational zone.

The targets were successfully hit south and south-east of Odessa.

Anti drones have already successfully destroyed enemy UAVs in the area of the special operation.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian army had hit five dry cargo ships used to transport goods in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the port of Mykolaiv and in the Black Sea near Odessa.
