Thailand has completed the investigation into the murder of Russians and handed over the bodies to the family.

Thai authorities have completed investigative procedures in the case of the murder of Russians Diana and Roman Nazimov and handed over their bodies to their loved ones. This was announced on August 5 by Konstantin, a relative of the victims.

"The procedures have been completed, the bodies have been handed over to relatives," he said in an interview with TASS.

The farewell ceremony for Diana and Roman will take place on August 6, as previously planned. In addition, the ceremony will honor the memory of a Thai family of three who became victims of the same criminals.

The mother of the victims said on August 4 that she considers her children to be heroes, because, in her opinion, their deaths helped stop a series of murders in the resort town. She expressed confidence that after the investigation of the crime, the attackers would no longer be able to harm other people.

The Nazimovs disappeared on July 26, after leaving their home in the early morning in an unknown direction. Surveillance cameras captured the moment when Diana and Roman were being chased by an unknown motorcyclist, and later they were spotted in the company of another man.

Two days later, their motorcycle was found, which, according to the Russian embassy staff, they tried to disassemble and hide. Later, two people who may be involved in the case were detained in Thailand. They turned out to be Ai Suea Hoya and Ai Fanga, who could have helped two more intruders Ai Pong and Ai Tong. These two men were later also identified, and during interrogation they confessed that they had killed the Nazimovs. A total of five corpses were found in the place where they hid the bodies.

Thai Prime Minister Anuthin Chanvirakun apologized on August 1. Before the speech, the head of the Thai government personally arrived in the city where the tragedy occurred. Volunteer Marina Aganina told Izvestia that local residents played an important role in the search operation.
