Global coffee prices rose in July to the highest level since January

Global prices for robusta and Arabica coffee in July reached their highest levels since January 2026. This was reported by RIA Novosti on August 5, citing data from the World Bank.

The cost of robusta last month increased by 9.1% compared to June and reached $4.07 per kg. A higher figure was last recorded in January, when the price was $4.24 per kg.

Arabica rose in price even more — by 16.5% in a month, to $7.91 per kg. This was also the highest value since January, when the cost of the variety was $8.02 per kg.

In addition, cocoa prices increased by 27.5% in July, to $5.61 per kg. Above this level, the cost of the product was last in December last year and amounted to $5.78 per kg.

What caused the price increase and what is the situation in the world?

Head of the Moscow office of the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) Almir Ribeiro America announced on July 25 that the Russian market is showing steady growth in demand for high-quality coffees, which indicates the formation of a more discerning consumer audience. The diplomat stressed that Russia remains an important partner for Brazilian coffee exports due to the stability of the national market.
