The CEC approved the order of parties on the ballot for the State Duma elections

On August 5, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia approved the procedure for placing names and emblems of political parties on the ballot paper for voting in the federal district in the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation.

Before the CEC meeting, a drawing of lots was held, which was attended by representatives of all 11 parties that registered federal lists of candidates. According to its results, the first three lines in the bulletin will be occupied by United Russia, Yabloko and the Liberal Democratic Party.

The fourth place went to the Direct Democracy Party, the fifth to the Greens, and the sixth to Fair Russia. The seventh number in the bulletin will be Rodina, followed by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Party of Pensioners and the Communists of Russia. Completing the list are the "New People" who got the 11th number.

On June 17, the Central Election Commission of Russia approved the dates of voting in the elections of deputies of the State Duma. As a result, it will be held from September 18 to 20, 2026. It is expected that this time more than 1.6 million young Russians will be able to vote for the first time. Later, on July 18, the commission certified the lists of candidates for deputies from all 11 parties participating in the election campaign.

On July 22, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, announced that more than 3.1 thousand candidates from political parties had already been included in the federal election lists certified by the commission, with 1,667 people in single—mandate districts. She noted that the CEC staff had done a lot of work to ensure that remote electronic voting took place without difficulties.
