Slovenian president broke her collarbone in an accident

Slovenian President Natasha Pirc-Musar suffered a broken collarbone in an accident on July 31. This was announced on August 5 by the portal NaDlani.si .

The Head of state admitted that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. She added that she takes responsibility for what happened.

"It was my main mistake, and I sincerely regret it. I wasn't wearing a seat belt and I fully accept my responsibility. The price for this was a broken collarbone," the president said.

According to her, the accident occurred in the Kasteletsky tunnel on the highway when she was returning from vacation. Pirts-Musar clarified that she was in the back seat and did not see all the circumstances of the collision. First, one car from the motorcade collided with another vehicle, after which the cars were thrown against the tunnel wall.

After the accident, the president was taken to a hospital in the city of Izola, where she underwent the necessary examinations. No surgery was required. Pirts-Musar now assesses her condition as normal, and recovery, according to her, will take from four to six weeks.

As a result of the accident, two people were injured, including the President of Slovenia. Information about the condition of the second victim was not provided. The circumstances of the accident continue to be investigated.
