Air Force (Air Force) The United States conducted tests of the X-62A military aircraft, during which artificial intelligence (AI) independently detected, escorted and intercepted aerial targets. This was reported on August 4 by The War Zone (TWZ) portal, citing a statement from Edwards Air Base staff.

"The X-62 VISTA platform has demonstrated the ability of AI agents to process infrared sensor data in real time, directing the X-62 to autonomously intercept an aerial target in real time," the publication says.

It is specified that the X-62A is a modified version of the F-16 fighter adapted for testing promising technologies.

Lockheed Martin reported that during eight test flights, the AI-controlled system performed 27 autonomous interceptions. A T-38 training aircraft was used as an aerial target.

TWZ reported on July 21 that the new American robot model Mission Robotic Vehicle is capable of destroying satellites in orbit. The device is equipped with two robotic arms that help it move objects, as well as repair them. At the same time, it is precisely such an implementation that can damage the satellite's optical systems or solar panels, as well as change its orbit.
