Maniac Gaskov pleaded guilty to committing a series of murders in the Moscow region

A Russian named Alexei Gaskov, who is accused of committing a series of murders committed in the early 2000s in Moscow and its region, as well as a crime against the sexual integrity of his stepdaughter, pleaded guilty. This was announced on August 5 by a source of Izvestia.

During the interrogation, the defendant confirmed that he was involved in the murders of nine girls and one man. His first crime was committed in 2002, when he was studying in the capital. Then Gaskov began to attack the girls at night, previously inflicting such injuries that prevented them from resisting. After that, he sexually assaulted his victims and then killed them.

Initially, he operated in the Babushkinsky district of Moscow. He killed three women there in just one month. Then the attacker committed the same crime against a graduate student of a Moscow college, but already in one of the forest parks of Podolsk. Gaskov then committed two attacks on girls in one day right in the central city park of the city of Pushkino and, after a while, stabbed a man there with a knife.

After that, the man began to operate in the Northeast of the capital, where he killed two more women. He committed the tenth crime against a student from the Moscow State Institute of Culture from the Republic of Peru. It happened near a dormitory in Khimki.

It is known that after the murder of a foreign citizen, Gaskov moved to the Novosibirsk region. Where, starting in 2020, he began to persuade his stepdaughter to drink alcohol and encroach on her sexual integrity. His arrest has now been extended for another six months.

On June 18, the Buguruslansky district court sentenced another maniac, Sergei Karpuk, to 18 years in a high-security penal colony in a rape and murder case. At the same time, the time that he spent in the detention facility will be counted at the rate of one day per day. Among other things, compulsory medical measures were imposed on the criminal. He was charged 3.5 million rubles each for the benefit of the victims' families.
