Sobyanin called Moscow education one of the best in the world
Moscow school education is one of the top five educational systems in the world. This was announced on August 5 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in an interview with TASS CEO Andrei Kondrashov.
"Moscow school education is considered one of the best not only in our country, but also in the world — we are among the top five educational systems in the whole world. All knowledge in the field of mathematics, physics, language, understanding the subject, understanding the essence of events is a very important story, but this does not mean that we should hold on to our knowledge and somehow protect ourselves from other regions. On the contrary, we are actively sharing our experience," Sobyanin said.
He noted that teachers from other regions come to Moscow teachers, consultations and joint seminars are held. On behalf of the President, an agreement was signed with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on the promotion of the Moscow Electronic School project in the regions.
By the end of the year, it will be implemented in 11 major regions, which will cover almost a quarter of Russian schoolchildren. The project includes an electronic library, assistance to teachers in preparing lessons, an electronic diary and a journal. Sobyanin stressed that this would help improve the knowledge and competitiveness of students from other regions.
Maxim Kostenko, an expert at the Ministry of Education and the head of the V.S. Lesnev Institute of Content and Teaching Methods, said on July 29 that from September 1, 2027, updated practice-oriented programs in five academic disciplines for high school students will be introduced in Russian schools. According to the expert, the new programs are aligned with the achievements of modern science and are aimed at strengthening the practical component.
