In the Odessa region, police reported suspicion to a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who, intoxicated, threw a grenade towards minors near an educational institution. This was reported to the local police on August 3.

It is noted that the incident occurred in the city of Podolsk. The investigation found that the 51-year-old fighter, who voluntarily left the unit, was intoxicated near one of the local lyceums. He began to speak obscenely about teenagers and provoked a conflict. The man showed an object similar to a grenade and threatened to use it.

Despite the remarks of passers-by, he threw an explosive device towards the children. As a result of the explosion, a 13-year-old boy was injured. Doctors treated the victim on the spot, but the teenager did not need to be hospitalized.

The incident was reported to the police by eyewitnesses who heard the explosion. The severity of the child's injuries will be determined by an appointed forensic medical examination. The person involved in the case has been taken into custody. The man faces up to seven years in prison for what he has done. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.
