A paramedic tried to save American actor Vincent Pastore, who is known for his role in the popular TV series The Sopranos, before announcing his death. This was reported on August 3 by the TMZ portal, citing sources.

"One paramedic tried to help Vincent, but no measures brought him back to life," the statement said.

The publication notes that the emergency service was called by the actor's neighbor, who found him unconscious. According to sources, the actor died of natural causes.

"The police did not suspect a drug overdose <...> A representative of the New York City Medical Examiner's Office said <...> that an autopsy would not be conducted," the portal said.

Pastore played the role of Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero in "The Sopranos," and also starred in the films "Nice Guys," "Carlito's Way," and "People Worthy of Respect."

Pastore died on August 1 at the age of 81. Pastor was found dead on Saturday at his home in the City Island neighborhood of the Bronx. It is reported that the actor had not been in touch for three days before. Robert Attermann, the actor's manager, called Pastore one of the kindest and most generous people he knew. He noted that the actor never denied fans photos and autographs, treated fans warmly and always supported his young colleagues.
