A number of Russian figure skaters have received neutral status.

The International Skating Union (ISU) has granted neutral status to a number of Russian figure skaters to participate in international competitions. This was reported on the organization's website.

According to the decision of the organization, Taisiya Shcherbinina and Artyom Petrov, as well as Sofia Diana Kasins and Alexander Bregey, received the right to compete in a neutral status. In ice dancing, the status was approved for the duets Vasilisa Kaganovskaya and Maxim Nekrasov, Ekaterina Mironova and Evgeny Ustenko, Ekaterina Rybakova and Ivan Makhnonosov.

Mark Kondratyuk, Matvey Vetlugin, Nikolay Ugozhaev, Evgeny Semenenko, Andrey Mozalev, Gleb Lutfullin, Daria Sadkova, Kamilla Nelyubova and Daria Gureeva joined the list of singles.

So far, we are talking about competing in speed skating, figure skating and short track in a neutral status.

On July 16, the ISU announced that the organization had awarded neutral status to eight Russian figure skaters, including Margarita Bazylyuk, Adelia Petrosyan, Anna Frolova, Alisa Dvoeglazova, Grigory Fedorov, and Alina Gorbacheva. It was clarified that the designation AIN2 ("neutral athlete — 2") appeared in the profiles of Russian athletes, and AIN1 ("neutral athlete — 1") appeared in the profiles of Belarusian figure skater Victoria Safonova.
