Vechernyaya Moskva has released the book "Our Cooper" in memory of Alexander Kupriyanov.

On July 31, Vechernyaya Moskva presented the book-album "Our Cooper" in honor of the 75th anniversary of the birth of the newspaper's editor-in-chief, journalist, media manager and writer Alexander Kupriyanov.

The event took place at the Moscow House of Books on Novy Arbat. The publication contains a huge amount of photographic materials and memoirs about the journalist, his friends, colleagues, subordinates and writers close in spirit. The memoirs are also accompanied by excerpts from Kupriyanov's prose.

Georgy Rudnitsky, General Director of the Editorial Office of the newspaper Vechernyaya Moskva, noted that the light left from communication with Alexander Kupriyanov will illuminate the path of all who knew him for a long time.

"As Alexander Ivanovich used to say, a newspaper lives one day and burns down at the end of the day in order to be reborn the next day. And the book, I hope, will live forever. When I opened the finished album for the first time, I put everything on hold because I couldn't stop reading it," the CEO added.

Rudnitsky also expressed gratitude to the team of authors and the people who found the time, opportunity and kind words for this publication.

The newspaper's editor-in-chief, Alexander Sharnaud Sharnaud, said that when creating the book, the authors wanted to introduce Alexander Kupriyanov to readers through the eyes of his family, friends and colleagues.

"In my memory, Alexander Ivanovich is the man who helped a huge number of people in different life situations, and I hope that this book will resonate with readers and become interesting not only to our professional circle, but also reach the younger generation of journalists who will be able to read and understand this man, his creative biography., managerial style. And he was a brilliant manager," the editor—in-chief emphasized.

He also thanked everyone who took part in the creation of this book and tried to put their hearts into it.

Alexander Kupriyanov died on October 2, he had been in charge of Evening Moscow since 2011. The journalist is the winner of the Golden Pen of Russia Award in the nomination "For Loyalty to the Profession", the winner of the Media Manager of Russia Award and the Prose award of the Writers' Union of Russia.
