A complex for overexposure of live crab will be created in the Murmansk region
A logistics complex for overexposure of live crabs will be opened in the Murmansk fishing port. Its construction has already begun.
According to Bi-Port news agency with reference to Russian Crab Group, the refrigeration complex will be designed for one-time storage of 25 thousand tons of frozen products, and the container terminal will accommodate 400 refrigerated containers.
The pools can hold up to 200 tons of live crab. Their total area will be 3.1 thousand square meters. m.
In addition, Stanislav Aksyonov, president of the Association of Shipowners of the Fishing Fleet, noted that thanks to this project, new jobs will be created in the Murmansk Region.
The aim of the project is to create optimal conditions for preserving the quality of biological resources and increasing the volume of supplies for export.
Earlier it was reported that in the Murmansk region, 10.2 billion rubles will be allocated for the renovation program in 2026. The plan for 2026 includes 66 events. These include the construction of three kindergartens in Hajiyev, Korzunov and Kilpyavr, and schools in Alakurtti. It is also planned to build a water pipeline and an electricity supply center in Severomorsk.
