Russian tennis player Lyutova reached the final of the WTA tournament in Memphis at the age of 16.

Russian tennis player Kristina Lyutova has become the youngest WTA tournament finalist in the last seven years. The 16-year-old athlete achieved this result on August 1 at a competition in Memphis, USA.

In the semifinals, Lyutova defeated American athlete Elvina Kalieva with a score of 7:5, 6:1. The meeting lasted 1 hour and 38 minutes. In 2019, Coco Gauff, a 15-year-old American, achieved a similar success, becoming the winner of the tournament in Linz.

Lyutova is ranked 229th in the WTA rankings, and the Memphis tournament was her first at this level. Following the results of the competition, the Russian woman will enter the top 200 of the world ranking for the first time.
