Dmitriev ridiculed the video with the bun of the new British prime Minister
Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of Russia for Investment and Economic cooperation with Foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), ridiculed a funny video posted by British Prime Minister Andy Burnham on August 1.
"The left has made only ridiculous videos out of the failure of [former British Prime Minister Keir] Starmer instead of dealing with the root causes and erroneous decisions on immigration, energy and warmongering," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Thus, Dmitriev commented on Burnham's vertical video, in which he holds a bun in his hands and discusses the distribution of taxpayers' funds.
Burnham assumed the post of Prime Minister of Great Britain on July 20. A week later, he announced that he intended to complicate the procedure for issuing benefits to Britons, as the government intends to reduce social security costs for the population.
Political scientist Alexander Dudchak, a leading researcher at the Institute of CIS Countries, commented to Izvestia that Burnham's appointment would not lead to noticeable changes in the country's foreign and domestic policy.
