Patrushev announced the allocation of 25 billion rubles for the development of national parks until 2030

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev announced the allocation of 25 billion rubles to improve the infrastructure of national parks as part of the national Environmental Well-being project. He stated this on July 31 at a meeting on the development of tourism in specially protected natural areas in Russia.

The popularity of recreation in protected areas is growing: if in 2018 they were visited by 6 million tourists, then by the end of last year — more than 22.5 million people. As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, the number of guests should increase, which requires a clear management system to preserve natural complexes and create a modern all-season infrastructure.

"It is very important that due to the influx of tourists, national parks receive an incentive for harmonious development, and small businesses receive new opportunities. At the same time, interesting projects are being implemented, which create jobs. I would like to note that the federal budget provides about 25 billion rubles (2025-2030) for improving the infrastructure of national parks within the framework of the national project "Ecological well‑being" until the 30th year. In parallel, the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" is being implemented. Infrastructure is also being created within its framework, including in specially protected natural areas. There are also certain support measures that investors can use," Patrushev said.

As part of the trip, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the Polikara Waterfall in the Sochi National Park. Its height is 72 m, and the attraction attracts more than 50,000 tourists annually. Patrushev noted that it is important to improve the waterfall's infrastructure, for which federal funding is provided.

He also visited the Leopard Recovery Center in the Caucasus, where he got acquainted with the pace of recovery of the population of the Central Asian leopard. Over the years, the center has released more than 10 captive-bred individuals into the wild. The center contains several leopards participating in the breeding program. Experts are monitoring their adaptation using camera traps and satellite tagging.

Patrushev visited the Bryansk region on a working trip on July 24. The focus was on the issues of integrated rural development. In the village of Zhurinichi, the deputy chairman of the government, together with the acting governor of the Bryansk region, Egor Kovalchuk, inspected a new sports and recreation complex.

Patrushev and Kovalchuk evaluated the results of the landscaping of the residential complex for employees of the greenhouse complex. Work on the construction of housing and infrastructure was carried out within the framework of the federal project "Development of housing construction in rural areas and improvement of the level of home improvement" of the KRST state program.
