US President Donald Trump did not give a clear answer to the request of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to transfer 300 Patriot missiles to Ukraine. This was reported by The Atlantic magazine on July 31, citing sources.

"Zelensky asked the United States to send 300 such vehicles (Patriot interceptor missiles. — Ed.) for use by Ukraine this winter. Trump objected," the article says.

The publication recalled that instead, at talks with Zelensky earlier this month in Ankara, Trump promised to grant Ukraine a license to produce its own interceptors. At the same time, the article clarifies that the country will not be able to produce them in large quantities for several more years.

On the same day, the Financial Times reported that Trump favored a further end to the conflict in Ukraine. The statement came two days after a meeting at the White House, following which Zelensky said that Trump had allegedly agreed to transfer technology for the production of ammunition for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Kiev.

On July 23, Zelensky held a meeting with representatives of the Raytheon defense company, which produces missiles for the Patriot air defense system. The Ukrainian President thanked the company for its readiness for a higher level of cooperation. He also noted that the work will proceed in accordance with the agreements reached with Trump.
