During closed-door talks in Washington, the Ukrainian side asked the US leadership to help lift restrictions on the use of the Starlink satellite network to launch attacks on targets in Russia. This was reported by The Atlantic magazine on July 31.

"During his visit to the United States this week, [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky requested a meeting with Musk to discuss his plan to launch attacks on launchers, but the billionaire declined this invitation," the article says.

The authors of the material noted the need to use American space technologies, the Ukrainian authorities explained to US President Donald Trump the acute shortage of advanced anti-aircraft missiles for Patriot complexes. According to Kiev's plan, the satellite system should provide high precision guidance for drones to destroy mobile Russian ballistic installations in the rear.

However, the sources of the publication noted that Trump took an evasive position and did not make any clear promises, while SpaceX itself continues to severely block the operation of terminals outside the official borders of Ukraine, and its management ignored press requests for comment.

Trump and Zelensky met on July 28 at a farewell ceremony for U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (listed as an extremist and terrorist by Rosfinmonitoring). At the end of the event, the head of the Kiev regime said that he had asked the American president for 300 missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems for the coming winter.

After a while, Newsmax journalist Nana Sajaya revealed some details of the dialogue between the Ukrainian and American leaders. She said that the presidents discussed a possible visit of a delegation from the United States to Kiev. It was clarified that Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and the son-in-law of the American leader, Jared Kushner, could arrive in Kiev.
