Orange danger level due to abnormal heat declared in Moscow

An orange weather danger level has been announced in Moscow for the coming weekend due to the predicted intense heat. This was reported on July 31 on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation.

The Hydrometeorological Center clarified that the orange danger level was introduced in the capital from 11:00 on Saturday to 16:00 on Sunday. The warning does not apply to the Moscow region. The maximum temperature on Saturday will reach +30 degrees, on Sunday — +31 degrees.

The day before, Yandex Weather reported that the temperature would rise to +27 degrees on Saturday, and to +29 degrees on Sunday, with no precipitation expected. The wind speed will increase to 5 m/s on Sunday.
