On Thursday, July 30, the Gulf of Finland near Kronstadt and Sosnovy Bor warmed up to +19.5 degrees. Further in the bay area, the temperature is lower — about +17.5.

The water temperature in the Neva River rose to +20.1 degrees, and in the rivers and lakes — even more. The warmest water was in Vyborg — +20.6 degrees, writes 78.ru .

"Of course, it will be cold for some, they want 26-28 degrees, but I think that the bathing season with such water is already complete. Water should cool in the heat," the specialist concluded.

However, according to the forecaster, an extensive cyclone from the Baltic Sea will arrive in St. Petersburg on August 1. There will be short-term rains at night, with occasional showers with thunderstorms, hail and increased winds.
