Efko Chairman of the Board of Directors Kustov has been arrested for two months

The chairman of the Board of directors and the main shareholder of the Efko group of companies in the oil and fat industry, billionaire Valery Kustov, has been arrested for two months in a particularly large-scale fraud case. This was reported on July 30 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow.

"On July 30, 2026, the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months in respect of Valery Nikolaevich Kustov," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that Kustov is charged in accordance with Part 4 of Article 160 ("Embezzlement or embezzlement on an especially large scale") and Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale").

Kustov was detained on the same day along with Efko CEO Yevgeny Lyashenko. It was noted that the issue of the latter's detention would also be considered.
