- Miroshnik reported on the use of new petals mines by the Ukrainian Armed Forces at civilian facilities
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are massively using new Petal antipersonnel mines and explosive devices against civilian targets in Russia. This was announced on July 30 by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik in his Telegram channel.
"According to the testimony of local residents and local authorities, Ukrainian formations began to actively use new anti—personnel mines under the conditional name "new petals" for remote mining of civilian objects on the territory of the LPR," he noted.
Miroshnik clarified that information is received weekly about explosions of civilians on Ukrainian mines. According to him, detonation can lead to serious injuries, including death due to blood loss or pain shock.
The Ambassador also pointed out that such actions by Ukraine are a serious war crime.
The head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, reported on July 24 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a car while distributing water to residents of Lysychansk. According to him, in other areas, Ukrainian militants also attacked communal special equipment.
