More than 30 bands will perform at the Legend Rock Festival in Moscow

The Legend Festival with the participation of more than 30 iconic rock bands will be held in Moscow's Gorbunov Recreation Center and will be dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Sverdlovsk Rock Club. Correspondent Sergey Khaidarov told about this on July 30 in the Izvestia story.

"In this legendary Yekaterinburg passage, history literally looks at us from the walls. It was these faces that turned the minds of millions upside down and proved that Ural rock is forever," the correspondent noted.

The legendary "Gorbushka" will bring together heavy music, the Ural character and the best musicians who will open a new page in the history of rock.

"It was one of the halls where the rows were filmed and there was a standing orchestra, then it was very rare. Where we played, if the audience was sitting, people would get up and break their chairs," recalls Vladimir Shakhrin, the leader of the Chaif group.

It all started for one of the country's main rock schools in a shabby and now defunct building. The rock tour for journalists was conducted by the leader of the Urfin Jus group, Alexander Pantykin, who is called the grandfather of Sverdlovsk rock. He was the one who stood at the origins of the club that almost everyone dreamed of joining.

"For example, a man like Alexei Oktiabrinovich Balabanov, whose monument was recently erected near the Youth Palace, had a musical group "Carrie" at school, he played the bass guitar," said Pantykin.

"Chaif", "Agatha Christie", "Semantic hallucinations", "Nautilus Pompilius" — their songs became the anthems of the generation.

"It's always a pleasure to listen to them, because they are real, lively and very accurate," said Sergey Galanin, the leader of the Seryoga group.

Each hit has its own address: they were born in basements, small rooms of the Recreation center and university offices.

"There were two rehearsal bases here, they were located on the penultimate and last floors, there are literally two windows on the far side. The groups were played by a minimal number of people with professional musical education," explained Mikhail Simakov, the founder of the April March group.

During the day, they designed buildings or worked at research institutes, and in the evenings they picked up guitars and turned into idols. For example, Vyacheslav Butusov, being an architect, worked on the creation of the Sverdlovsk metro. Vladimir Shakhrin from Chaifa built apartment buildings, and Vladimir Begunov from the same group was a policeman.

"Vladimir Begunov was on duty, sitting in the car. In the evening, he looks, a familiar silhouette with a guitar flashed through the fence. He spoke into the loudspeaker: "Citizen Butusov, come to the car." Vyacheslav ran across the yards, not remembering himself, he already saw himself shaved in the dock," said Yuri Obleukhov, guitarist of the Kurara group.

The festival in the capital was attended by 85 thousand people.

On July 19, a concert of the Knyazz group was held in St. Petersburg in honor of the anniversary of the death of Mikhail Gorshenev, the lead singer of the King and the Fool, where fans of the group heard their favorite songs again. The most touching moment of the St. Petersburg performance was the song "The Bear", when only Mikhail Gorshenev's voice and instruments sounded from the stage. Thousands of lights lit up in the hall. The second memorable concert will be held in Moscow on August 7, the birthday of the Pot.
