Trump announced Burnham's intention to open the North Sea to oil production
New British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has promised American leader Donald Trump to start oil production in the North Sea. This was announced by the President of the United States on July 29.
"The new gentleman, when I spoke with him, said that he was going to open the North Sea [for oil production]," Trump said during a meeting with reporters, the video broadcast was posted on the official YouTube channel of the White House.
On July 9, Burnham announced his candidacy for the post of leader of the Labor Party. On the same day, former British Deputy Minister of Defense Alistair Carnes announced his support for his candidacy. Later, on July 17, Burnham was announced as the new leader of the party, and on July 20 he assumed the post of Prime Minister of Great Britain.
