The number of forest fires doubled in a day in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District

In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the situation with forest fires remains extremely tense. During the day, their number doubled, from 35 to 64. Five spontaneous fires were eliminated.

Four MI-8 helicopters with spillway devices and 578 people were involved in extinguishing the fire, told the news agency "Ura.<url>" in the district Department of Civil Protection.

By Wednesday morning, July 29, 64 wildfires were recorded in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the area covered by the fire was 11.1 thousand hectares. A day earlier, there were 35 fires in Yamal.

In total, 500 wildfires were recorded in the region during the entire fire-prone period. Their total area exceeded 69 thousand hectares. Residents of the Purovsky district complain of smog from fires.

On July 28, it was reported that 14 forest fires were recorded in the Khabarovsk Territory. Their area exceeds 6 thousand hectares. 39 people and three aircraft are fighting the fire. Forests are mostly burning in the Ayano-Maysky district, where the most difficult weather conditions persist.
