- Rusal, together with its partner, began developing aluminum solutions for residential housing
The Rusal Group of companies and the manufacturer of building materials Grand Line have signed a cooperation agreement. The parties will develop and produce new aluminum fences for individual housing construction (IHS). This was reported by the press service of Rusal.
As part of the agreement, specialists from Rusal's directorate for the development of aluminum consumption, together with the manufacturer, have developed a new product for the construction market — a system of modular aluminum fences, the metallurgical company said. The products will be delivered to dozens of regions where Grand Line operates.
"While aluminum solutions and their advantages are well known in apartment housing construction, their implementation is just beginning in the residential housing segment. This is a different segment of construction, and we are very pleased that one of the leaders in the production of materials for roofs, facades and fences turned out to be open to innovation and decided to master the production of modular aluminum fencing systems," said Evgeny Vasiliev, Director of Aluminum Consumption Development at Rusal.
Due to the anti-corrosion properties of this metal, aluminum fences have a longer service life and retain an aesthetic appearance without additional maintenance costs, Rusal emphasized. Due to its low weight, aluminum fences are easy to transport and install.
"A fundamentally new product will allow us to offer our huge customer base a solution with unique consumer and operational characteristics. We see great prospects for aluminum fencing systems and estimate their potential share in the premium residential housing segment at 10-15% over the next few years," said Sergey Namestnikov, Head of Marketing at Grand Line.
