Calculations of FPV drones destroyed the AFU equipment in the Dnepropetrovsk direction

Calculations of the FPV attack drones of the 6th tank Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces destroyed dozens of units of ground equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnepropetrovsk direction. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on July 29.

FPV drone operators are constantly working to detect and destroy enemy targets. Depending on the type of object, military personnel select a live charge and direct the drone to kill.

In addition to attacks on ground vehicles, the calculations perform tasks to intercept enemy drones. The operators conduct aerial surveillance and destroy heavy hexacopters, which are used to deliver ammunition and supply advanced units.

"Continuous departures, that is, arrived, recharged, flew back. Take a break for an hour and a half to recharge the batteries. <...> We are no longer told to "fly out", we ourselves know that we have recharged and need to take off again, because you never know when an aerial target will arrive," Konstantin Petukhov, senior calculation operator, shared the details of the work.

The Ministry of Defense clarified that the use of fiber-optic and radio—controlled FPV drones makes it possible to hit various types of targets, from lightly armored vehicles to large unmanned vehicles.

"We are shooting down dugouts, enemy manpower, ground movement stations, as well as enemy UAVs, Baba Yaga-type hexacopters, armored vehicles," the commander of the FPV drone crew with the call sign Tuman said about the enemy targets being hit by the operators of the Russian Armed Forces.

On July 19, Russian law enforcement agencies announced that assault units of the Russian Armed Forces had destroyed a militant group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and captured one border guard during an offensive in the Kharkiv direction. It was noted that Russian military personnel continue to conduct rifle battles west of the village of Petro-Ivanovka.
