The number of large families in Transbaikalia has grown by 15% in seven years

In Transbaikalia, the number of large families has increased by almost 15% over the past seven years. About 74 thousand children are raised in 22.5 thousand families. Almost every family in the region has many children.

Vera Gamolina, Deputy Minister of Social and Demographic Policy of the region, Head of the Department of Demography, Family and Childhood, spoke about the support of families in the region, new assistance measures and the results of her work on Vesti FM. According to her, the activity is aimed at solving the problem of the national project "Family".

So, since January 1 of this year, the region has received an annual cash payment to large families in the amount of 6 thousand rubles per student. You can use it to purchase school and sports uniforms. More than 2.5 thousand social contracts have been concluded in the region, of which more than 400 are with large families.

On June 1, they began to issue a one—time housing subsidy for young families at the birth of their first child: 1.6 thousand rubles for a full family and 1.2 thousand rubles for an incomplete one. Student families and civil servants with at least 1 year of experience can count on the payment, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

Earlier, the Public Chamber proposed to introduce large capital in the amount of 1 million rubles. A similar initiative, as well as the idea of increasing the amount for a second child, was made by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation on family issues, Director General of the Institute of Scientific and Public Expertise.
