Production of the Jeland J6 crossover with all-wheel drive launched in Russia

The production of a full-cycle all-wheel drive version of the Jeland J6 crossover has started at the AGR holding plant in Shushary, St. Petersburg. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on July 28. The price of the new product has not yet been disclosed.

The all-wheel drive Jeland J6 is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo engine (150 hp; 275 Nm) paired with a 7-speed preselective robotic transmission with two wet clutches. The all-wheel drive system provides six driving modes. It is based on an electromagnetic multi—disc coupling. The system is complemented by an electronic imitation function for locking the rear axle differential.

At the first stage, the all-wheel drive Jeland J6 will be available only in the Prestige package. The distinctive features of the all-wheel drive version are alloy wheels of a new design, an 8.88-inch color digital instrument panel and a more productive eight-core processor of the multimedia system.

The list of equipment also includes a panoramic roof with an area of 1.45 square meters, multi-layered front windows, atmospheric interior lighting, ventilation of the front seats, an audio system with eight speakers, wireless charging for a 50-watt smartphone, a complex of electronic driver assistants and a panoramic viewing system with a "transparent chassis" function.

The front-wheel drive Jeland J6, which went on sale in June under the Russian brand and is based on the Chinese model Jaecoo J6, now costs from 2.29 million to 2.7 million rubles, depending on the configuration. The crossover is only available with a 1.5-liter turbo engine (147 hp; 210 Nm), a six-speed "robot" and front-wheel drive.

The day before, it was reported that the Tenet T8 crossover, which is manufactured at the Kaluga plant, received a new configuration. Previously, the model was available in a five-seat version only in the basic "Asset" version, but now it is available in the "Prime" version with an expanded set of equipment.
