Government officials are sometimes forced to make decisions that are not popular, so it is important to explain their meaning to people. This was announced on July 27 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during his speech at the Territory of Meanings forum.

"In crisis situations, authorities at different levels sometimes have to choose not between bad and good decisions, but between bad and very bad decisions, and often have to make extremely unpopular decisions that aim to solve the problem in one, two, three moves," he said.

In such situations, as Peskov pointed out, it is information communications that play an important role. According to him, they are the ones who should convey and explain the meaning of a decision to society, in particular in the so—called "niches" - messengers and social networks.

The Kremlin official explained that in such a process it is also important to pay attention to the age and preferences of the consumer, taking into account that someone prefers to continue to receive news from newspapers and from TV screens.

At the same time, the government, he added, should broadcast firmness and move away from populism. According to Peskov, Russia is doing everything right now, and in the future it will completely move to the stage of its rapid development.

Peskov, in the same speech, stated that the nature of the information war being waged against Russia is protracted. Speaking about this, he urged to prepare for the fact that she may never stop at all. The official representative of the Kremlin drew attention to the fact that in modern realities, even one person can become a media outlet.
