A woman was killed and three other people were injured in a drunken accident in Nevelsk.

In the city of Nevelsk, Sakhalin region, as a result of a drunken accident, a woman was killed and three more people were injured. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on the night of July 26 on Beregovaya Street. According to preliminary information from the traffic police, a drunk 46-year-old Subaru Impreza driver could not withstand the side interval and crashed into an oncoming Toyota Caldina.

As a result of the collision, a 56-year-old Toyota passenger was injured, from which she died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. The 55-year-old driver of the car and his second passenger, a 39-year-old woman, as well as a 41-year-old Subaru passenger, were hospitalized, SakhalinMedia news agency writes.

A check is being conducted on the fact of a fatal accident, and the issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
