Of the nearly 3,000 legislative acts adopted over the years, two thirds have received the support of all factions. An integrated system of legal guarantees has been built and continues to develop for participants and veterans of a special military operation, families of defenders of the Fatherland," Putin said.

The Russian President also drew attention to the work of deputies in the context of the new regions.

"The parliamentarians also presented a united front by adopting laws on the reunification of Russia and four of our historical regions: the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. Their integration into a united, native country has been ensured," Putin said.

The President also noted that the Russian Federation has been facing illegal restrictions, attempts at deterrence and pressure for a long time, "both after the 2014 Russian Spring and before that. But since 2022, the West has already launched the Russophobic machine at full speed." At the same time, he added that the West is setting records: "both in terms of the number of so-called sanctions, and their uselessness, and the damage that these sanctions inflict primarily on their authors themselves."

"Wanting to shake the Russian state and provoke a social split in our country, (Western countries. They tried to strangle our economy, financial system, banking sector, and undermine the potential of science, industry, and education," Putin said.

He added that, unable to defeat Russia on the battlefield, Western countries rely on openly terrorist methods of fighting the people.

The President also noted that Russia sets ambitious goals to improve the standard of living of Russians and combat poverty.

"We are not only adapting to new conditions, confidently overcoming those artificial barriers that are created from the outside, but together we have set ambitious goals for the future <...> in terms of improving people's well—being, broad opportunities for self-realization of each person, and reducing poverty," he said.
