A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The fighters of the North group of forces improved their tactical position and defeated the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost up to 210 people, an armored combat vehicle, 16 vehicles, an artillery piece, and counter-battery and electronic warfare (EW) stations.

The Zapad group of forces has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 210 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, 17 vehicles and a field artillery piece.

The military personnel of the southern group of forces improved their tactical position and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost more than 230 fighters, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier and 19 vehicles.

As a result of decisive actions, units of the Center group of forces liberated the village of Torskoye in the DPR, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the republic and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 365 people, three armored combat vehicles and three vehicles.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move deep into the enemy's defenses and liberated the village of Kommunarovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were also defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 380 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles and an artillery piece.

The fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the Armed Forces brigades in the areas of settlements of the Zaporizhia region of the city of Kherson. Up to 40 militants, an armored combat vehicle, 14 vehicles and an electronic warfare station were destroyed.

Russian troops have attacked logistics centers, production workshops for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles and their storage facilities, fuel, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 147 districts with strikes by tactical aviation, combat drones, rocket and artillery systems.

Five guided aerial bombs and 498 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 673 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 190,438 unmanned aerial vehicles, 667 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30,325 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,766 multiple rocket launchers, 35,925 field artillery guns and mortars, and 67581 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
