A single digital resource for kindergartens will be launched in Russia on September 1.

On September 1, a single digital resource for preschool institutions will start operating in Russia, which will contain manuals, lesson scenarios and materials for parents. Senator, professor, member of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Igor Murog, in an interview with Izvestia, outlined the key conditions for the effectiveness of the new system.

"The task of the digital methodological library is to provide a unified standard of preschool education and smooth out regional differences, but this can only be achieved if a number of conditions are met: reliable digital infrastructure, systematic teacher training and flexible adaptation of materials to the conditions of different kindergartens, including in rural areas," he said.

The senator stressed that digital platforms should not replace personal interaction with parents. According to him, it is optimal to use them as an additional resource, for example, to post ideas for family activities or brief recommendations, while maintaining the priority of face-to-face meetings to discuss important issues.

Child psychologist Nadezhda Rezenova expressed concern that parents are unlikely to use the digital resource: in her opinion, a tired parent who comes home from work is unlikely to study another checklist.

"Live communication is more important — at least two or three minutes when handing the child over to the caregiver. Or one—time meetings ‑ for example, parent-teacher conferences once a month or every six months, where you can talk about something useful, support parents, and give them a simple tool for working at home. It's much more valuable. I'm not sure if a parent will read and apply another list of recommendations," she stressed.
