The harvest season of the "royal berry" is coming to an end in Ugra
In the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, the cloudberry harvest season, popularly called the "royal berry", is coming to an end. In 2026, the catch turned out to be especially rich, according to the Telegram channel "Yugra officially".
"We collected eight liters. I have frozen the berries, and in winter I will treat the guests of the ethnocultural center with fresh cloudberries. And the cloudberry sepals have already been dried for tea," said Elena Kuznetsova, head of the Sorum Muv Ethnocultural center in Beloyarsk district.
According to the <url> news agency, residents of Kogalym and the Surgut district also shared pictures of the harvested crop.
Cloudberries are one of the most valuable berries growing in the harsh northern latitudes of Russia. It can be found in tundra and swamps. The "royal" berry began to be called due to the fact that it used to be served at the monarch's table.
Cloudberry has rare healing properties, contains vitamins, potassium, phosphorus and iron. Its unique chemical composition provides support for almost all vital body systems, which is especially important for the northern peoples.
