A farewell ceremony was held in St. Petersburg for actor Dmitry Podnozov, artistic director of the St. Petersburg Drama Theater "Mansion".

Everyone could say goodbye to the actor. The theater's press service, announcing the ceremony, noted that "the doors will be open to anyone who would like to say goodbye or just be around at this time."

The audience and fans of Podnozov's work brought flowers with them. At 15:30, the cremation procedure will take place at 12 Shafirovsky Prospekt.

Podnozov's death at the age of 65 became known on July 21. The administrator of the theater he founded, in a conversation with Izvestia, clarified that the actor died of cancer. Podnozov was born on December 17, 1961 in Leningrad, graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography. His filmography includes more than 200 projects, including "Secrets of the Investigation", "Spiritless 2", "Major", "Chernobyl", "Combination", "Karamora", "Icebreaker".
